Veranda Resorts launches Pop-Up Moments

Veranda Resorts has seized the opportunity of the WTM to present the brand new attraction it will offer its guests as from end of November: the pop-up moments (Pop-Up Moments). This new, simple and attractive concept is about a bunch of surprises tailored to vacationers’ quiescence. The signature phrase – “One day. One set-up. One feeling.” – defines it all.

Once a week, guests are unexpectedly invited to live a magical and fleeting moment on the beachfront. They can choose between two distinct ambiences to make the most of their holiday retreat.

With Coco’lidays, vacationers are invited to enjoy a 100% natural coconut water drink in an informal setting. Ideal for adults as well as for kids, it allows for a cool break before taking a dive into the pool.

With the Sunset Moments, a truly Mauritian experience awaits our guests as the sun goes down. While Veranda Paul & Virginie will favour a romantic atmosphere for couples, Veranda Grand Baie, Veranda Palmar Beach and Veranda Pointe aux Biches will set a festive atmosphere in line with the local art of celebrating.

During the presentation of its Pop-up Moments at the WTM, Veranda Resorts has taken the opportunity to provide tasting of the so-exotic and trendy coconut water. Coco’lidays was launched in partnership with Coco Up, a Mauritian brand which markets 100% natural coconut water.

Heritage Resorts Mauritius Award took place in the trendy DSTRKT bar, London, on Monday 3rd November 2014.

Another highlight of the World Travel Market was the Heritage Resorts Award, which was organised by Heritage Resorts for the ninth year in a row. The event took place in the trendy DSTRKT bar on Monday 3rd November and gathered about a hundred tour operators, travel agents, partners and British journalists. As usual, there was a prize-giving ceremony to acknowledge the continuous support of partnering tour operators and travel agencies.

After Christine Dupont’s blissful speech, Audrey Hervel, Head of Sales and E-Commerce, announced the 2014 award-winners. Nominations were followed by a cocktail where typical Mauritian culinary treats were served. Guests also had the opportunity to try signature massages by Seven Colours, which is an established spa and cosmetics brand at Veranda Resorts and Heritage Resorts.

The best tour-operators for 2014 include Kuoni Travel Ltd (Heritage Awali), Trailfinders (Heritage Le Telfair) and Virgin Holidays (Heritage Resorts). The prize list also ranks Mauritius Holidays Direct, EFR Travel Ltd, Kenwood Travel, Western & Oriental, If Only Travel, Discovery Travel Denmark, Gold Medal Travel Group, THG UK and The Holiday Factory RSA.

The World Travel Market was an occasion for Heritage Resorts to officially announce the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.

Every year, worldwide tourism stakeholders gather in London for the World Travel Market. It is a major event in the travel industry, which aims to create and strengthen connections among the industry professionals, and to give way to new opportunities.

The World Travel Market was an occasion for Heritage Resorts to officially announce the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, which will take place at the Domaine de Bel Ombre from May 7th to 10th, 2015. For the first time in golf history, it will gather the top 40 players from three international tours: Sunshine, European and Asian Tours. Miss England also attended the fair, proudly bearing the colours of Heritage Golf Club.

Everyone deserves holidays! While children and teenagers have fun, parents chill out. How about babies? For the total comfort of its guests, Heritage Resorts will have a kiddy club, as from November 2014, for the 0-2 year old children and unique services for toddlers when they are far from home!

With its “Baby Timomo” club, Heritage Resorts are the first hotels in Mauritius to offer a complementary and dedicated space for toddlers. Open 7/7 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, the club welcomes children under 24 months. A team of six nannies stands by, each one taking care of up to two babies at a time. They are all qualified in childcare and first aid, and committed to provide each child with personalised care and age-appropriate activities.

Awakening of the senses is one of Baby Timomo Club’s focuses: there are play mats and developmental games to stimulate their motor skills while respecting the natural growth rhythm of each infant. Parents’ instructions and recommendations will be strictly followed to ensure baby’s best possible experience.

Moreover, Heritage Le Telfair and Heritage Awali both have a 24-hour Baby Corner close to the hotel’s living spaces, where parents can change and feed their babies. Specific baby products and facilities are available on site, such as cleansing lotions and home equipment for babies, so parents can pack-up light for trouble-free vacation.

“Timomo & Friends”: an original concept

Timomo is the name that was chosen for Heritage Resorts’ Kids Club. A green bird with a yellow beak, Timomo represents a parakeet – an endangered bird species native to Mauritius.

Timomo is looking for a treasure which is found on the other side of the rainbow. Along his treasure hunt, he makes new friends. Together, they will help him in his quest, and Timomo eventually discovers that he already has the greatest treasures: a rainbow heart where love, friendship, respect and kindness prevail and shine a bright light!

Mauritian identity, sense of hospitality and the rainbow nation are conveyed through this concept. While sharing the cultural heritage of Timomo and his friends, the V.I.kids learn that differences create harmony, and that each one of them is unique and yet complementary to the “Timomo & friends” kids club.
