Heritage Bel Ombre’s Brand New Story

As five hundred wide-eyed guests gathered in Bel Ombre on Thursday, 5th October to uncover the riches of newly-renovated Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness and Heritage Le Château, they were offered a glimpse into the newly contemporized splendour of the estate, which truly Embraced the Extraordinary. The exquisite soirée, organized by Move for Art, was an opportunity to unveil a new chapter in Heritage’s 14 years of existence – Heritage Bel Ombre.

After years of being acclaimed for its enviable location and distinguished designs, Heritage draws on Bel Ombre’s heritage to bring forth a sparkling new identity, which integrates all their properties on their 2500-hectare estate in the South-West region. Heritage, as the mother brand, trickles into all the distinct sites: while Heritage Le Telfair, Heritage Awali, Heritage The Villas and Heritage Golf Club are retaining their identities, Villas Valriche, Le Château de Bel Ombre, Frédérica Nature Reserve and C Beach Club are espousing new names. Since October 5th, they have been respectively rebranded Heritage Villas Valriche, Heritage Le Château, Heritage Nature Reserve and Heritage C Beach Club.

The aim is to instill a synergy among the properties and activities across the estate. Although each one of them boasts a distinct personality, look and feel, a unified identity offers a cohesive and harmonious guest experience. The brand’s name in itself shines light on our unique cultural identity and connects us to our rich history. Heritage Bel Ombre brings together tangible and intangible riches that invariably lend us our Mauritian cachet: a sparkling turquoise lagoon alive with a vibrant marine life, a lush tropical forest brimming with endemic plants and trees, rolling hills and mountain peaks and the inimitable warmth of our people. Such was the idea behind the imaginative rebranding.

Heritage Le Chateau French Gardens

The evening began with guests exploring Heritage Le Château, which has been delicately restored to its former glory, suffused with Anglo-Indian glamour and Mauritian elegance. They strolled the neatly-manicured formal French gardens and ponds, enjoying crafted cocktails and refined canapés in the Chateau’s gastronomic restaurant. Beautifully lit-up in hues of pink and purple for the occasion, it stood tall and proud in its renewed historical significance. In its quest to be recognized as a gastronomic marvel, the Château is welcoming a French decorated Michelin-star chef, whose main role will be to craft an extraordinary menu and train our in-house chef to further hone his skills. It will embark guests on a culinary journey through a fusion of Mauritian flavors, spices and textures; here, farm-to-table meets refined dining as our chefs make use of fresh ingredients available across the estate.

Heritage Le Telfair

As the magical evening progressed, guests made their way to the reimagined Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness, which clearly lived up to its upgrade to a lavish 5* resort: with no less than 12 restaurants, a golf course offering unlimited green fees and a focused attention on wellbeing with Seven Colours Millésime Collection, Heritage Le Telfair’s timeless elegance immersed onlookers into a sophisticated new universe.
