Veranda Pointe aux Biches

Santa Claus and the kids at the Timomo Kids Club

Veranda Pointe aux Biches embraces the spirit of the festive season by kicking it off with an elegant English tea – a heavily-laden table of scones, sandwiches and brownies will tempt the children’s and adults’ palates in equal measure. A Wish Tree, to which guests can tie their hand-written wishes, further encapsulates gift-giving-season and the resort’s desire to delight its guests. Our end-of-year celebrations are the ideal way to usher in 2018 with a brunch, followed by a ‘Beach Chic’ buffet at Senses. Happy Hour leads up to our countdown party – on the beach, toes in sand – paired with a fireworks display and a sega show.

Veranda Paul et Virginie

Veranda Paul et Virginie, our couples-only hotel, immerses you Deep into the Mauritian culture: from exploring the village of Grand-Gaube and feasting on local street food under a banyan tree, to learning how to peel a pineapple the Mauritian way and even making chapatis (Indian pancakes) that our island is famous for. An intimate and romantic feel pervades the resort for adults seeking a getaway to rekindle their flame or perhaps even pop the question. An ‘Arabian Nights’ theme for the Christmas Eve Gala Dinner, followed by a sumptuous Special Christmas buffet at Isle de France restaurant and fireworks on the beach at the stroke of midnight provide the perfect setting to start off 2018.

Veranda Palmar

Tropical fruits for a festive holiday at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel

Veranda Palmar makes festivities in the tropics even more special by making the best of Mauritius’ seasonal, summer fruit available to its guests: lychees, mangoes, coconut water, watermelon juice… To convey a true Christmas spirit, the resort will resonate with Christmas Carols. Our Chef concocts traditional buffets for you to enjoy at Regatta or al fresco, coupled with a cultural show put on by our in-house entertainment team. The entertainment is unparalleled: pianists, saxophonists, a live band and a DJ will have guests swaying to top hits as they welcome 2018 on a high note at BarAcuda.

Veranda Grand Baie celebrates Christmas Eve with a Mauritian twist: a buffet with seasonal flavors, tropical hand-crafted cocktails and Christmas Carols. The festivities begin long before Christmas as Veranda Grand Baie has designed various activities leading up to the end of the year: guests can learn how to make Indian rangolis with colored rice or learn the basics of sega. On New Year’s Eve, our visitors, seated at tables overlooking the lagoon, are treated to a succulent buffet before heading down to the beach to mark the beginning of 2018. The resort’s ideal location on the bay, where dozens of hotels’ fireworks displays, erupting in unison, makes for a beautiful New Year’s Eve spectacle – each year, locals and tourists alike flock to Grand Baie for this view as the countdown begins.

Veranda Resorts guests are invited to ring in the new year with unique treatments and massages at our Seven Colours Spa – after well-deserved indulgences over the holidays, make the first part of 2018 soothing as you abandon yourself in a mind and body transformation.
